Nestled between Te Papa and Chaffers Dock, right in the centre of the city, our event HQ at Waitangi Park unlocks the gorgeous Wellington waterfront.
The course takes in all the sights - Te Papa, Whairepo Lagoon and the Well_ngton sign - as it follows the wide public esplanade around the harbour. Views forever and usually (always) a decent wind to chase you to the finish line.
After you finish your 5k - running or walking a flat, two-lap course around the waterfront - grab a banana and water or sport drink before heading back to your tent to see how your mates did. The best performances of the day - plus our amazing team managers - are acknowledged at the Awards Cermony at 7:30pm. Spot prizes wrap up around 8pm and there's time to exchange war stories as you pack down

We all know that wonderful, windy, Wellington can deliver any type of weather at any time of year and Corporate Challenge Wellington comes prepared with our Start/Finish line and primary setup in the lee of Chaffers Dock apartment building. Waitangi Park has plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the event and the location could not be improved. Team Tents will be setup directly opposite the main stage and the actual finish line is directly in line with the centre of the apartment building.
Team Tents
Team Tents are one of the signature features of Corporate Challenge. They're a great way for you and your team mates to meet before the event and relax and socialise after the run. Team tents can be either RENTAL or BYO and there is always enough space for everyone. If you are bringing your own tent then it's first come, best dressed and you can place your tent any time from 1pm onwards (there are crew on site throughout the afternoon so it's fine to leave food, bbq, etc inside). RENTAL TENTS
If you want to make the evening hassle-free then you can rent a tent package from us which includes a 3x3 gazebo (with walls on 3 sides), trestle table and seating for four. All for a tidy $250+gst (see button below to book). Rental tents are the first ones setup at the venue so they usually have the best posi, near the stage. You can just rock up to the venue any time after 1pm, find the tent with your company name on it and get ready to partaaay!
Location, Access & Parking
Many participants in Corporate Challenge Welllington take the easy walk from downtown offices to the venue. For those coming from further afield, there are several parking buildings and lots nearby as well as a selection of street parking. Once you make it to the general area of the park, you'll have no trouble locating Event HQ.
Important! Corporate Challenge Wellington takes place entirely on the wide footpaths of the Wellington Waterfront. There are no live road crossings on the route and no road closures or other traffic management restrictions around the venue. However, participants must be aware that some traffic movement may occur, particularly around the maintenance road between Circa Theatre & Shed 22 and vehicles accessing resident parking at Clyde Quay.
